• Main activities and responsibilities - I had under 2 teams of 15 workers (pipe fitters,welders and helpers) each one! I take the work from the dock up to delivery of the ship! The work involved the montage of equipments, erection for all pipe lines and air or water pressure test!
My job was to:
- coordinate work teams directly in order to maintain high standards of performance, quality and safety;
- check progress and give daily task and ensure the necessary logistics for each team of work;
- check the piping field installation to ensure that the quality of materials used and workmanship are according to drawing specification;
- perform the final inspection for all completed pipe lines before applying for inspection

• Main activities and responsibilities I work in Outdoor Outfitting department on cargo area. I take the works from the dock stage up to delivery of the ship.
These works includes:
- at the container ship : pre-erections to all systems of pipes on the cargo and boattruster areas (CO2, fire, balast, bilge,fuel tanks,air ventilation of the tanks and hydraulic system to boat truster). I line up the pipe systems, I do the pre-erection pipes and I weld the pipe supports. After I finish the alignment and pipes fitting, I start to check the pipe systems by pressure with air or water and the hydraulic system from boattruster by pressure with oil. At this check I see if the systems are sealed and if they are not, I change the damaged gaskets. When I change the gaskets, I clean the flanges and I put grease on the new gaskets so that they can seal.This process repeats until all the systems are sealed 100%. On the deck I put the air vent heads and fire hydrants. In the forepeak I align the pipes from the chain wash.
- at the bulkcarrier : I do the same jobs from above and in addition I pull the hydraulic pipes(multicor cable) that activates the valves and remote sounds.After finishing with pulling the hydraulic pipes, I connect the multicor cable at the valves and with the command panel from the castel that activates all the valves. In the bow of the ship I do the pre-erection pipes from the ICCP.
